|
|
The last few days I've been having intermittent problems with my Sprint service while in Calexico. When this occurs, I have "zero bars" and I cannot dial out, use the Internet or send SMS. After a while it begins to work again.
In the past, Sprint has been solid in Calexico so now I'm curious as to what may be causing this. I've yet to call Sprint support, but I wonder if any other Sprint user is having similar problems.
As a side note, I sometimes get the EVDO (3G) icon on my phone, but it quickly goes away. This pisses me off. |

I don't have Sprint, but some people that I know that live in the Valley do. Whenever I talk to them, they always have the shittiest reception. It's annoying as hell.
And yes, it's only the Sprint customers that I have this problem with, so I know it's not my phone. |

They probably have a Samsung (Instinct). I have the same problem when talking to them folk.
Mine's a Motorolla.
FYI: My phone's working fine right now, but of course I don't need to use it right now. |

I think they're upgrading their towers. If you look at their EVDO coverage map it shows its getting closer. When I used to have sprint, the EVDO icon would pop up on my cell (i live in the outskirts of Calecia). I would try to connect to the web but it would go away.
If in fact they are upgrading their towers to support EVDO, they're not doing a very smooth job. It should be seamless. It's only gonna piss off customers. Four months ago I switched to the $50 boost unlimited plan and couldn't be happier. Got tired of paying $100+ sprint bills. I even transfered my number (sprint said it wasnt possible), but I did it.
Now i'm debating if I should get the new iPhone 3G S. I kinda like to have the boost ppt functionality in mexicali. I can't make calls there but at least I can radio my friends. |

You're buying a Pre? Shame on you. I thought you was an Apple fanboy! Get an iPhone 3G S! Sprint sucks anyways.
I tried the Pre at the ivmall's sprint store.
First impression was not good. The phone is very slow and laggy. It still needs lots of improvement. The keyboard is also hard to use. It has tiny keys, they don't stick out as much and are soft & rubbery.
Not impressed. |
