The signage/logo looks professional, so that's why I doubted it, although it could just be clipart. I haven't stepped inside yet.

Maybe next time when I get myself an ultra venti double double half-caf mocha espresso macchiato con panna with soy milk at 140 degrees after buying my groceries at Walmart.

what you don't think so?

and what I am also saying is that they rip off the customer by charging them 3 times what the ingredients cost.

You think that only happens in chicali??

I think the imperial valley health department should get a ratings system that rates restaurants in terms of health standards like they do in LA/SD. They basically rate them and then the restaurant is force to prominently display its rating on the front door.

These restaurants are rated as a, b, c and d...

since there isn't this type of standard, the restaurant can continue working without the best sanitary environment without the clientelle knowing about it...

I've eaten at restaurants with B and C ratings in LA without hesitation...

So you want a restaurant to charge you for the meal at their cost? 2-3 times the cost of ingredients sounds fair to me considering they need to pay biz fees, rent, utilities, payroll, etc.

That happens everywhere. Food is a very profitable business. The mark up is more like 10 to 15 times the cost. The better the restaurant the higher the mark up. This is why restaurants are hit first and hit hardest when the economy slows. It is just so much cheaper to eat at home.

Anyone ever seen that commercial for KFC's $10 challenge? Cook their ten piece meal at home for less than $10. I would be very surprised if it cost more than five bucks to fry a few pieces of chicken, mash a couple of potatoes and blend mayo with chopped cabbage at home.

I dare you to try the $10 peso Disco Street challenge.

No way you can cook some pollo al disco or tacos de papa at home for under 10 pesos.

This does not sound like your trying to clarify anymore...

fast food restaurants not withstanding... cause they get their food wholesale... thats why the $10 dollar challenge works...

plus weren't we talking about how bad the mex food on this side was compared to chicali???
