Has anyone ever tried a beer called Karl Straus, Amber Ale? I highly recommend it. I first tried it at the Viejas Casino. It has a brownish color and a great taste. It is made in San Diego County and is not sold here en el Valle. F's u up!!!
Hope they have that in Calecia. |

I have to say I'm disappointed that crvzafest hasn't come back here to fire back. I went to his store today anyway. I think it would definitely help this place to have a beer tasting (along with meats and snacks that highlight some of the other products like the Arrogant Bastard BBQ sauces, the almond stuffed olives and what not). If they did that they could write a press release to the IV Press to promote it for free, since this will surely be the first beer tasting IV has ever seen.
There is no rhyme or reason to how the coolers are stocked so you have to take the time to look through both coolers to see what they've got (maybe it was on purpose then? .... I don't think so) I bought the Sierra Nevada Bigfoot, a "barleywine style ale". I stopped drinking it a quarter of a way into the first bottle because the taste was so strong. A few minutes late I burped, and you know what? I liked it! (Best beer review ever right here, by the way) So I kept sipping -- realizing this was a beer to be sipped and savored -- and actually started enjoying the flavor, which is rich if maybe a little overpowering. |
