CALEXICO/SAN DIEGO PICNIC
The CALEXICO/SAN DIEGO PICNIC is back! Details as follows:
DATE: SATURDAY – AUGUST 23, 2008
TIME: 11:00AM – Sunset
WHERE: MISSION BAY / DE ANZA COVE
DIRECTIONS: Take I-5 to the Mission Bay Drive/Clairemont Drive off-ramp. If you
are traveling NORTH on I-5 take the offramp and turn LEFT over the freeway and
towards the bay; then take a quick RIGHT at the stop-sign onto Mission Bay Drive.
follow Mission Bay Drive until it ends at the last park area, you will see a parking
lot, playground area, restroom/showers building and a very large tree close to the
water. We will try to be in that general area.
If you are traveling SOUTH on I-5 then take the off-ramp and turn RIGHT onto
Mission Bay Drive. Follow same directions as above. Lost? Call Javy or Tony.
WHAT TO BRING: Bring your own food to grill (or prepared already), your own
Beverages and ice chests, favorite picnic munchies, blankets, chairs, etc.
There are no planned activities, speeches, sack races, volleyball games, etc. The
concept of the CALEXICO/SAN DIEGO PICNIC has always been a simple one.
Just get people from Calexico together for an afternoon to meet, talk, laugh, share
memories, exchange phone numbers & addresses. So we hope to see you on
August 23rd at Mission Bay! SPREAD THE WORD!  |
