After years of begging, it seems as though Dish Network has finally heard and answered our cries.

I just got off the phone with Dish Network and added local channels.

Off the dishnetwork site:
Yuma, AZ and El Centro, CA Locals Package - $5.99 per month
Station Local Channel Number Dish Channel Number
YUMA ABC - KECY2 5 8420
YUMA CBS - KSWT 13 8421
YUMA CW - KSWT2 16 8424
YUMA FOX - KECY 9 8423
YUMA LATV - KYMA2 41 8428
YUMA NBC - KYMA 11 8422
YUMA TMNDO - KECY3 3 8426
YUMA UNVSN - KVYE 7 8425

I can't wait to see all new episodes of The Simpsons.

I guess the local channels on Dish have been available for at least two months, according to KSWT.

I wonder why this "major" news was on the DL here in Imperial County. Is the local print media in cahoots with Time Warner?

Actually, IVPress had a Probe article the day after the news came out. Then I think they did a followup a couple days later. Here's the Probe, at least.

Finally a respectable and valuable Probe inquiry!

It's too bad it wasn't published on one of the months I read the paper.

Time to upgrade my TV to a widescreen cause our local NBC is forcing 16:9 down the tube.
