Have you ever been hanging out with your friends, and you're all bored and you guys decide to invent a game?
Once when I was in high school, a few friends of mine, and I decided to do just that.
We often went to go play handball at night, but the school where we played at always turned their lights off after 10:30 pm. We were always left wanting to do more.
So instead of turning to homosexual encounters, we decided to invent a game. Our only equipment, a handball.
We scoured the streets of Calexico to see if we could find somewhere to play and all we could find were some tennis courts (where the lights had a timer with no fee).
I used to play tennis so we decided to incorporate rules from tennis and mix them together with handball rules, and some other rules that we made up as we went along.
The game was actually pretty fun, from then on, we spent hours playing this game. We even had our own official drink (which was the only thing you could drink while playing), a two-liter of Iced-Tea.
Thinking back on it, we must have looked like dumbasses playing that game, but I bet the game is still fun. |
