Sort of missing the point.
Couples of any sexuality can certainly have problems. So take the sexuality out of the equation. If you had a choice between the couple "A" beating the crap out of each other or couple "B" living happily and peacefully, which would you prefer? I'm sure you would pick "B."
Now, what if couple "B" happened to be gay? |

I understood your point, but I was expanding on your hypothetical. Though, your original hypothetical did include sexuality, so you can’t assume that most people would pick to have a gay couple for neighbors. I was just elaborating, without answering your question (agreeing with your legal commentary), why so many people assume that gay couples are perceived as living happily and peacefully?
As to your new hypo, what if couple A was gay? |

verbal, don't be afraid to dial 911 when your man beats you.
I would prefer couple "C" where two dogs would live chaotically under one roof. |

The whole point that I was trying to make was that someone's sexuality shouldn't matter to you. At the end of the day, how does that couple being gay effect you? How does that gay couple being married in an official ceremony effect your life?
There's a 99.9% chance that your life won't change at all. Having said that, what would your oposition to gay marriage be?
Yes, its possible for a gay person to be violent. Just like its possible that a straight white guy can dance and dress well. |
