I wasn't sure whether to post this here or in Events and Places.... anyway....
On Sunday May 1st, 2008, I will be having my Campaign Wrap Up Hot Dog Roast, This is open to the public to come and get a free Hot Dog and drink. It will start around noon, and will end when I run out of Hot Dogs. I will be cooking around 1,000 hot dogs to give away. It will be located at the Corner of Andrade and Highway 98. Formerly known as Meadow's Express/Texaco. The store's "Grand Opening will be that day as well. Come on by, get a Hot Dog, and talk to me if we haven't had the chance to meet. I appreciate it much.
Thanks
Michael C. Mayne |

I think you meant June 1st?
Are the hot dogs going to be wrapped in bacon, since this is a campaign wrap up, right? |

| Yes, I meant June 1st... Thanks... Bacon wrapping would be good, but considering it being the end of the campaign, bacon was unfourtunately cut out of the budget for sunday's give-a-way... The city should do this too, trim the fat.. cut of the bacon |

I went for my hot dogs. but was denied. Someone who looked like a campaign manager told me I was too dark to get some hot dogs. I explained that it was just a tan. He didn't even bother to listen. As I walked away, I heard him say, "I hate wheatbreads."
Seriously though, I didn't actually stop for any hot dogs, but I did like the technique, a bunch of people standing on the corner with signs that said, "Free Hot Dogs." I don't think I saw a single person holding a Michael C. Mayne sign. It wasn't until I looked at the hot dog cart that I noticed the campaign signs.
So of the 1000, were there any left over? |

| About 300, I had to cut the event short because of an family emergency... so it looks like I will be eating hot dogs for about the next 2 weeks. |
