Are there any cooking classes/courses in the Imperial Valley that one can take to learn the basics of making meals?

I remember years ago going into that Old Times 60's Deli on Main St. in EC and going to the restroom in the back and seeing a group of adults which looked like they were taking cooking lessons. I don't think they do this anymore, but I'll ask if I ever go back.

Another option could be to intern at a restaurant, but if the cook sucks, then I'm gonna suck.

Does IVC have classes?

I really wish I would've not fooled around that much in Mrs. Tang's class.

The community center used to offer cooking/baking classes. I don't know if they still offer those anymore. Might want to look into that.

Other than that, you can always stop wearing out the numbers on your phone and actually try to cook something at home every once in a while. It's called trial and error. Takes some time to learn this way, but it's a start. I recommend you begin by learning where the knobs on your stove are.

I offer Mexican style gourmet cooking for a small fee. One of my many delicious dishes include the following: Mantarraya con camarones a la plancha, Civiche de cazon, Chuletas adobadas, Pollo almendrado con verduras tipo restaurante Chino, Pozole de puerco, Chiles rellenos, barbacoa de res, Coctel de mariscos, Godornizes encarameladas a la parilla and the list goes on and on. Or you can be my book, Tan facil que hasta un cavernincola puedo guisar" for $19.99. I also include a pair of tongs and meat a thermometer.

My advice: Take tips from the asaderos in Mexicali and stick to carne asada. You can never go wrong.

I'm gonna keep sending you daily ASCII pitos, puto.

I use the most expensive spices in the world for cooking, so there's no room for trial and error.

And I bet you already know where my knob is...

Oh come on, don't be so cynical. If anything, there's a lot in that website that can help you cook a pretty decent meal and maybe even get "rewarded" for it later on. Forget trial and error, just follow some of those simple recipes and you are good to go.

Plus, the website itself is pretty funny.
