Calexico USD Board Meeting Today @ 6PM

There's a Calexico Unified School District board member meeting today (Thursday) at 6:00 PM located at the new Enrique Camarena Jr. High School (map).

This should be interesting, and possibly entertaining, considering the chaos that erupted last week with HR Director Lewis Pacheco.

I'm gonna do my best to be there.

If you go and if you have the ability to ask a question on behalf of the community (C.com), could you ask the Board something along the lines of - Who is accountable for the hiring of L.Pachecho?

Why doesn't Calexico model itself after the El Centro school district? I was informed (did not verify) that El Centrol did not fire any high school teachers as they had a surplus, whereas, Calexico Unified was 5 mil in the hole.

Calexico has publicly blamed others (state & Arnold), but when will they look themselves in the mirror and see that the incomptence begins with them.

I just reviewed the agenda for this meeting and I'm totally clueless at to what most items are. I guess I'll just show up to heckle.

Made it through the first half hour or so of the board meeting. Basically a lot of kudos to each other, including board members, district and school staff, schools, students, etc. Lotta fluff, basically.

I found it only appropriate to clap for the students as they are the only ones who really seem to deserve any appreciation.

Unfortunately I received a call on The Batphone so I had to go, although I was able to get a couple updates out via SMS.
