Quite a few have been wondered WTF is going on with the "Victoria Park" that was promised to Victoria Homes buyers and the rest of the city of Calexico. The recreational park, to be located on Clinton and Zapata Dr., has been a huge dirt lot for the past few years with a huge man-made "hill" on north-east end. It wasn't until a couple months ago that the ground started moving and the builders appeared to begin building new homes on the north end of the lot. The last unofficial status update on the park came from our very own whitebread who asked the City of Calexico what the dealio was with the park. He reported the park should be completed by the end of 2008, according to the city.
Last night I drove through Clinton and noticed what appeared to be the framework from some curvy walkways along the north-west side. It looks like they are slowly, but surely, working on the Victoria Park, but putting a lot more emphasis on the home development to the north.
This thread is dedicated to keeping a watch on the devlopment of "Victoria Park" which SHOULD be completed by the end of 2008.
You can also place your bets on whether the park will really be built by end of 2008 or more like mid-2009. |
