Check in here if you've paid $4 to gas up your car.

Fueled up with only $20 and got 5 gallons. I was so pissed I wanted my fraction of a penny back.

I paid more than four bucks a gallon, but it was to fuel up my dad's diesel. I've seen people take two extreme measures because of the price of gas:

1) My dad was tired of paying so much for diesel so he decided to gas up in Mexico, where the Diesel costs about half of what US diesel does. Apparently the US switched to a different type of Diesel, and only older "power stroke" diesel engines can use Mexico's.

He's even talking of having a seond gas tank installed on the back of his truck.

2) My brother in law has a beautiful black Nissan Titan. He recently bought a Honda Fit and is trying to sell the truck.

I haven't experienced this yet. I drive a hybrid, and I could probably tell you that I'd still be pissed.

I forgot to mention that my car only takes 91+ octane or higher, so I am already getting screwed about 20 cents more than others per gallon.

My 84 Bronco II has a 23 gal tank, with a carb. 302 out of a 98 explorer (gt-40p heads). I get decent gas mileage (with a 2bbl carb) but I opt to fill up in mex. Can you say "me da $500 pesos de la verde!" Its like $2.50 US /gallon in mexicali.

The only thing is that I might have to change my fuel filter more often, but my car didn't notice the difference. Very Happy

Also, everytime I fill up my tank in mex, and I ask them for $500 de la verde, they look at me all confused and say "what?" One guy explained to me that its weird that someone puts soo much gas at once, that mexicali people only fill up like 100-200 pesos at the most. Weird.

i have a suburban with a 30 gallon tank, so every time I fill it up it goes over $100. I don't use it that much, we bought a little nissan sentra to run around town in. it practically pays for itself.

You must be a very religious person. Do you always believe every thing you read in a book/manual?
