Is this only because Asiad is running for Calexico city council that he cannot be part of the planning commision any longer? |

Yes.
There's a group of Calexicans that seem to run for all elections just to see what sticks. |

Yes.
There's a group of Calexicans that seem to run for all elections just to see what sticks. |
The only difference is that this time around, there are way too many candidates for the usual suspects to prevail... or are they???? |

Well,
Councilman Ouzan re-appointed Art Selwick as his replacement planning commissioner at today's council meeting, and they also decided to table plans to demolish the armory building to see if it's better to retro-fit the currently unsound/unsafe building, or demolish and start from scratch. Apparently there are more funds availiable for the building as it sits than if it is demolished. |
