A well deserved firing of Hugo. FRACASO! He simply had to go. With so much talent around him, his decision making, scheme and coaching personnel was just terrible. It's time to Call back Javier "EL VASCO" Aguirre! Hugo, not even your famous Chilenas, your Pichichis, and two championships with pumas can help you now. All the bad shit you spoke of Lavople is rolling down your alley. I supported you all the way through la Copa de Oro, but ever since, you've been BS your way out of excuses!
BASTA! It's time for el TRI to take over the CONCACAF and redeemed themselves. Vamos Muchachos, Si Se Puede! |

That's right: HugOUT!
The only real achievement Hugo had, if you want to call it that, was tying USA 2-2. The 2-0 win over Brazil was meaningless because it was more like a third string Brazilian squad against Mexico's best.
Hugo, it was nice having you, but PONLE! |

| I dont think he should have gotten axed. He should have gotten a little more time. I also believe that if ALL of the players de el Tri would have his same confident attitude el Tri would be alot better. Hugo siempre ha sido un triunfador, sus jugadores no lo son. |

Hugo could have been given more time, but what would that have done? The Mexican people were already furious about el "fracaso" and we weren't really seeing any improvements over the Lavolpe era. It wasn't until the last game against Ghana that he basically put in the same squad as Lavolpe in the World Cup.
Not sure exactly where Hugo was going with the team, but I feel a lot of relief now that he's gone. Maybe if he wouldn't have done all that talking to start with we would've had more patience with him. But he was expected to deliver with all the Lavolpe bashing he did.
Those players who will not comply with the change can simply sit out. There's lots of young talent to take the place of the euromexicanos. Under Chucho, I believe the young talent will thrive. |

A 3rd string Brazilian squad that eventually won the bloody Copa America! So who takes over now? Let Ramirez stay? Get a "famous" name? Does it matter? I suggested J. Pekerman a few years ago, but now I like the idea of Aguirre as well, so he got outcoached in one match against the U.S. in 2002. Might as well let hi try, these FMF guys gave B. Milutinovic the job how many times? |

That's the scary part. I'm sure BRA underestimated MEX and then just stepped it up afterwards.

I know pato loves Pekerman because of the name alone. |

I was very anti Hugo since he would talk all that shit bout LaVolpe. I am not a LaVolpe fan, especially since he left my idol Cuah out of the WC, but we've got to recognize that he has done a lot with the young mexican players. It is funny now to have seen Hugo do the exact same things which he so much criticized about LaVolpe. Can you believe that shit, in the Ghana game he had BOTH Sinha and Guille in the field when he knew his job was on the line, incredible. Eat your words mother fucker !!! They interviewed one of the sub-23 players and he said that they didn't know shit about Canada and Guatemala, cause instead of showing the team videos on their rivals, he would show them videos of his chilena goals with Real Madrid, insane. Another thing that I noticed about Hugo was that none of his substitutions were tactical, he would always switch a forward for a forward, midfielder for another midfielder, etc...
They interviewed Vergara and he said that there are a total of 7 candidates right now, and only 1 coaches in Mexico. He stated that Cucho Ramirez will not be the coach. I am glad for that, I don't think that Cucho would do much to change El Tri. It's a whole new ballgame coaching a sub 17 than the big team. I really like Pekerman, other than for his last name, he is a coach that recognizes young talent real well, and he is a proven coach. But I hope that the FMF goes out of it's way and finally decides to spend some money on a top notch international coach instead of trying to pocket all that extra money. Giddink ( or someshit like that), Mourinho, Scolari, etc... would be excellent coaches. I think that showing them the money, they might be able to convince them. |

| Soulman, you speak of Hugo's confident attitude (i prefer to call it cockiness), so please tell me, what did Hugo's confident attitude do for El Tri as a player??? Of coarse, when you're surrounded by such great players as he was in Real Madrid it makes things that much easier. Too bad he couldn't bring Michelle or Buitragenio to play for El Tri with him huh? As a coach, yeah he got that back to back championship, so what happened the next year? That's right, his conflictive attitude separated the team and had them down close to going to Primera A. |
