|

I was reading the news the other day. Something came up that I've been noticing a lot lately. From CNN:
"In a statement issued Monday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said the continued cost of the war in blood and treasure has become 'unacceptable' ".
John McCain said:
"...far more must be done in coming months to cement the gains made in huge cost in American blood and treasure".
Are they pirates now? Are we paying for guns and bombs with gold coins and rupies? Since when did "treasure" become a proper synonym for money? Do politicians have a book called "The Sugar-Coating Dipshit's Thesaurus"? Does this mean that I should start using this now?
"Joe Blow won a shitload a treasure at the stock market and bought a huge mansion".
"Some woman got mugged at the corner of suck and fuck. They took her jewelry, her credit cards, and her treasure."
"Hey dude, spot me on that bag. I don't have any treasure right now, I get paid next week. Come on man, you know I'm good for it".
Does anyone now what this is all about? |

Well, when you consider the conspiracy theories about the US invading Iraq for its oil, then I guess you can't really refer to it as money, but more as treasure, loot, booty, black gold...
Arrgh, matey!
I think an eye patch on Cheney would suit him well. |

| Now that you say this, I'm thinking treasure does sound better than "your hard earned dollars that we shamelessly steal from you". |
