I ate there today and the service was much better. I will happily pass along your recommendations. Lower price options -- like a lunch menu -- would not only bring in more people for lunch, the smaller portions would really speed up service and table turnover. I hope they respond, but I doubt it. They scrapped their original lunch menu, which included several combos, because the kitchen staff felt like the combos were impossible to get out quickly (and they were right) since each combo had wierd combinations of cooked food and sushi. And as far as pricing, apparently their regulars have been saying how cheap everything is, so guess what the owners want to do? |
Stupid county execs and IID employees with their expendable income.
Like I said, I'd go back, but the place does have that pretentious look to it and in all honesty I'd rather have lunch at the Vietnamese place on Main St., I can say for certain the food here is delicious. I kind of feel the same about the Thai place as I do with this sushi place. I haven't gone back to it in almost a year.

But I think you found out for yourself how it compares to the very popular Sahura |
Yeah, the fish to rice ratio was strange. There was less than usual tuna in my rolls, but I guess the warm rice made up for it.
If they think people don't like sushi, then they are pretentious. It's not as if all people in the valley are absolutely clueless about the world. It's like me claiming they only know about sushi because they worked at some sushi chain place in Mex and now that they are over here, they think they're poop don't stink.
I like Sakura because of the atmosphere and food. It's great having a meal there with a Bohemia Obscura. And the service kicks ass. |
