Did anyone go to or watch the game on TV?
I started watching it on TV after half-time and it was a very exciting half. Mexico was losing 0-1 to Argentina and they tried their best to at least come up with a tie.
Cuauhtémoc Blanco was playing great. He was moving the ball around to everyone and pulled off some excellent passes, but no one was else was able to convert a goal.
And what the fuck was up with the referee who didn't call a penal against ARG in the goal box? That was completely obvious. It should've been a penalty kick and most likely ended the game in a tie. Asshole ref.

i saw the game on tv as well. i agree that cuauhtemoc kicked ass. i agree that that play in the penalty box was not called either. however, mr. blanco also got away with something that should have taken him out of the game. there was a forearm to the face of an argentine player late in the second half. neither of those fouls were called. there were missed calls on both sides, so you can't say mexico got screwed. what i saw was mexico losing their heads like they always do when they fall behind and start making stupid mistakes. it's something they will need to learn to deal with
the us lost today to argentina 1-0. |
