Thinking about having Calecia.com run as a candidate for Calexico City Council in June 2008. The entire Calecia.com community would have a say if elected as a councilwebsite.
Complete transparency and having the BEST interest for the citizens.
What are the fees and/or total cost to become a candidate in Calexico? |

i dont know how much it cost but it cant be that expensive. it would be nice to have someone on the council who had the best interests of ALL CALEXICO in mind. Not just short term fixes, long term as well. Calexico has so much potential to be a great city.
my political aspirations died when i was at Mains when I found out I couldnt be president. Damm constitution!!!!! |

I suggested this to revramrod about four years ago. His response was something along the line of "have a website run for city council " |

We could use The Killer Bees tactic and alternate representation. |

You should just run individually with the platform that every minute and member decision will be logged on C.com. Also, your voice will reflect the sentiment of C.com members who contribute to lively discussions.
However, this will undoubtedly lift the self-imposed ban on no Spanish on C.com because in order to be a representative of every Caleciano you have to allow Spanish on the board. Unless, you are an advocate of English-Only. |

It lost the election...
It wouldn't work if one person ran for the job. It'd have to be the entire Web site. Can't put one Calecia.com member at the risk of being poisoned a la Ukranian politics. |
