CC is better than Kobe because he got to wear #23.

Cedric Ceballos ... now there's a name I haven't heard for a long time. The guy scored fifty points in a game once, back when scoring fifty points was a hell of a lot tougher than it is now -- and it's still though. He also almost set a record with consecutive free throws made. I can't remember if it was the franchise or league record though. It all went to his head and he called in sick for practice one day, only to be reported water skiing at Lake Tahoe instead of at home in bed. He earned the nickname Club Ced, was shipped out of LA and faded to oblivion.

I guess missing practice is a far more serious problem than being accused of raping a woman.

Oh yes it is.

P.Gasol is weak. The turning point in the game was around the 4 minute mark of the 4th when someone passed the ball to Gasol on the left elbow. You could see Gasol's long arms become those of a baby and as soon as he got the ball he was so scared to shoot that he passed the ball to a cutting L.Odom. Turnover. Celtics got the ball and tied the game or cut it to two.

P.Gasol is the new C.Webber. L.Odom doesn't even qualify.

I was listening to the game online and seriously thought the Lakers were done in Game 5. They had yet another 20+ point lead in the 1st half and blew it. The lead came close for the Celtics many times late in the game, but ultimately LA pulled off the victory and scored over 100.

This seemed like positive news for the Lakers. In the past, they had the game won, but then blew it. This victory was a symbolic over the hump win. I'm thinking they might be able to pull off winning two straight games to clinch the title.

The series will definitely go to a game 7.
