They should let them play, but Stern wants a non-contact league. It's lame as it slows down the game. Also, today's players can't handle being touched without getting a call.
That Kobe sequence was weird. I only caught one replay and saw Kobe go through Nene/Martin, touch the ball, get the ball, and then foul was called on Nuggets player. The only thing I can think of is that Kobe is known for playing D all-season long. If anything, this league is known for giving calls to certain players who have done it all year long. B.Bowen is as physical as they get, and he benefits. Again, Melo touched Kobe on his right shoulder after he was in his grill. Should have let it go, but players have to understand how refs have been calling the game and playoffs. Even Fish got a blocking call when he is known for taking legit charging calls (not ala Ginobli). Either way, the Nuggets came out flat and didn't deserve to win. On other hand, Hotlanta's players showed what kind of emotion you need to play in the playoffs. |

Sucks being a Suns fan right about now. What's worse is that they lost their identity. Are they a running team? A half court offense team? Shaq's or Amare's team? Diaw's team?
B.Diaw was the first option on most of their set plays. Amare is in the same league as Melo. No defense. He let K.Thomas get some crucial offensive boards. He did have one good block, but he can't stop anyone one-on-one. As for his offense, why does he even bother taking jump shots. Every thing should be right around the rim.
If I was S.Nash I would ask to get traded. The man is too good to run a slow it down half court offense that S.Kerr will make his coach play next year. S. Kerr brought in Shaq, so it's his name on the line.
D'Antoni, should ask to be traded, oh wait fired, so he can leave S.Kerr's mess behind.
Oh, and the Spurs whine more than the Nuggets. Every play. The difference is perception. Nuggets are thugs, and people don't like thugs whereas, the Spurs have loveable players like Duncan, Parker, Horry, Bowen, Ginobli... Even Popavich complained to the refs when he couldn't sub back-in Duncan after he pulled him out on purpose, but as Shaq re-entered the game, Duncan quickly got off the bench, but the refs didn't allow it since it was during a free throw.
You know it hurts Horry to win with the Shaq a Hack. Lame. |

I agree with everything you wrote, Verbal. Everyone talks about the Spurs being the class organization of the NBA. Uh, what?! They A) complain more than any other team, B) shamelessly flop all over the floor instead of playing defense, C) their reputed best defender -- Bowen -- is the dirtiest player in the NBA, and D) their coach invented on of the most despicable and boring tactics in the history of the league (hack-a-Shaq). I could go on. These guys have zero class on the court.
D'Antoni will probably join the Little General in the unemployment lines soon. |

| It's about winning championships and teamwork. They pass the ball to the open man and play hustling defense. Let's see a guy from France, Virgin Islands,Argentina- they play to win. |

| Some where out there realneo has a big smile after the big Utah win last night. Boozer played a 20-20 game. Though, Kobe's greatness almost stole the show. |

I haven't watched the Jazz much this season, but I can't imagine them playing much better than that. And the Lakers still almost won, in spite of a subpar game. I wouldn't smile too wide if I was realneo. Don't get me wrong, after watching the lakers' role players go back to their bumbling idiot ways of the past couple of season I ain't smiling either. |

| It's pretty obvious the NBA is rigging these games so the series can end in Game 6 or 7. Expect a Game 7 in the Final. |
