Calexico air ‘unhealthy’ Tuesday
Air quality here reached an unhealthy level Tuesday, a mark that could cause negative health effects in spite of a person’s health.
The concentration of fine particulate matter (those less than 2.5 micrometers in diameter) in the air reached a peak at 9 a.m. Tuesday, when a preliminary air quality index value of 159 was recorded, according to the Imperial Valley Air Quality Web site. A good AQI ranges from zero to 50 (see box). By noon, risk levels had improved but still posed potential hazards for sensitive groups.

Dunno. Most likely asthma.
Although our air's gotta get up there with LA's a lot.
The New River is another beast that is supposedly claimed to cause cancer. We need MUGRE to save us. |
