| Apparently Joan Jett & The Blackhearts will be appearing at Calecia.com's favorite place to settle differences on April 19, 2008. |

Yeah, I heard about this a while back. It's part of the El Centro Centennial celebration and the performance is free.
I wanted to check her out a couple years back when she played at one of the nearby casinos. Now I get to see her for free.
Have you seen pics of her lately? She looks like she could kick all of our asses even at age 50. |

Dude, what good do you do by not informing your faithful readers of the limited entertainment that is available in the Valley?

Who is Calexico bringing in for their centennial celebration? |

The line as February 14, 2008 that Calexico brings at least 2 mariachi bands is 42-1. |

My brother and I had the following exchange when I told him she was coming to EC:
Me: Joan Jett and the Blackhearts are coming to EC
Brother: Is Carmen Electra going to be there?
Me: ... What? ... I don't get it. Why would you ask that?
Brother: Because she's dating Joan Jett.
Me:
Is this true? |

I quickly looked this up and it does seem like they're scissoring.
I really doubt Carmen Electra will be in El Centro with her. She's got better crap to do than to celebrate 100 years of Hell... Centro. |

Having a free concert with Joan Jett is cool and all, but I know for a fact that they were also thinking about Cheap Trick and George Thoroughgood and the Destroyers. I'd take both over Joan.
Who doesn't love Cheap Trick? Apparently not the committee tasked with voting between the three. |

Just to hear the song Surrender would be worth driving to El Centro. |
