It's never a friendly between these two teams. Donovan has been talking his game all week. Mexico is waiting for the pitch to the all the talking. Both teams are bringing the A squad. So take out your Steel Reserve, Old Glory, la verde, and get ready for more action then the Superbowl.

USA bringing 12 Euro players:

Mexico bringing 5 Euro players:
R. Marquez, C. Salcido, P.Pardo, G. Dos Santos, A. de Nigris.
A.Guardado is out resting a thigh injury.

Who will win? But more importantly who will you represent?

USA. 2-0.

I'll be cheering for MX in my living room. This game caught me by surprise.

IMO, this will be a very important performance for Giovanni Dos Santos. If he doesn't dominate, Mexico will under perform in South Africa.

Pretty exciting game after all. Although I don't understand why Hugo starts Bofo and not Giovanni or any of the new stars.

2-2 is a fair outcome. Both teams played well, but the score should have really been 3-2 USA. That was a bad offsides call by the ref.

It was exciting. Emotional rollercoaster that's for sure.

Though, I hope that Vela can play on the other side because F.Arce is reminding me of the old J.Borgetti who couldn't find the net. F.Arce has had several opportunities at goal and just doesn't produce.

G.Dos Santos should play more than 20 minitues. His speed is clearly demonstrated on the pitch. He demands defensive rotation that will facilitate other players.

Memo looked a little lethargic out there, but I'm not too worried.

Cacho is not a good player off the bench.

Bofo showed some creativity, but needs to lose that beer gut.

Mexico was relentless yesterday. Not bad.

When I watched this game, there was a Mexican looking guy with a group of friends and he was cheering for the US. No problem with that, right, but when he would rapidly clap and roar for USA, I could just see the self-hate in him.

He must have been from Brawley, I thought.

BTW, what's up with B&B (in Imperial Ave.) not letting customers loudly cheer for their team? The manager(s) must have told a few people to simmer down. All the screens had the same game. Isn't this a sports bar?

I felt like I was at Champs in Las Villas (Mexicali) all over again.
