I was at the Barnes & Noble in Yuma this weekend and came across this "graffiti" inside the toilet stall that cracked me up. Typical Yuma.
Mexican Gang Hats
Free - Take One
I didn't have a pen on me to replace it with "KKKlan Do-Rags."
Missed opportunities. |

| Nice handwriting... I wonder if it was those racist snowbirds that dwell in Yuma this time of year, or if it was one of the locals??? |

It's been my experience that the locals are the racist ones. I've encountered snow birds in Yuma a number of times and they've always been really nice. A nice old couple chatted me up once while I was grabbing lunch and we ended up having an hour long conversation, which was highlighted by the old guy stooping over to take his shoe off and show me his frostbitten foot. His wife stopped him, unfortunately. The locals in Yuma, however, are pretty unapologetic about their bigotry. |

I have a sister that lives in the foothills and well, she begs to differ... |

Just take a gander at Yuma Sun's message boards and article comments. The fact that the paper doesn't censor any of that hatred towards Native Americans and Mexicans shows what the majority opinion for the area is.
