| I searched and according to the Wikipedia entry for Mexicali there is an Arena Football team that plays in a "newly-built convention center." They are trying to negotiate a deal for a Mexicali team to play in the af2 (arenafootball2), which is Arena Football League's (AFL) minor league. |

If pato ever checks out C.com, I'm sure he'll have an answer. He's our official Calecia.com Chicali liaison. |

| First time I hear about this. Where would they play if this were true? The only indoor place in Mexicali is the Auditorio del Estado, and unless they can play football in a 25 yard field, I don't see them being able to play there. |

I've heard of futbol rapido tournaments being held in Mexicali's Juventud 2000 park before, so wouldn't that same indoor field work for arena football?
From what I know, futbol rapido (or indoor soccer) fields are around 50 yards/meters in length and about half that in width. Arena football fields are around the same size as this.
That Wikipedia post does say they built a new arena though. |
