First off, you're a brave soul to come to a place like this and write the things you have written.
Second, regarding your question of profits in the latino market ... um ... yeah, companies are making huge profits from the latino market. It a huge -- and quickly growing -- market.
Third, you love paying your "workers" low wages, and it's business people like you that are the first to piss and moan about having to pay people decent wages. So what do you want? 'First class, clean, well spoken white workers' that are overpaid and crush your business? Or do you want to have 'dirty, spanish speaking, third-rate, stupid, poor' immigrant employees that work hard at rates that let your business turn a profit?
You say how much you despise these "third class" people "invading" your country, but in the same breath reveal that these very people are the key to your financial success. Which leads me to ...

You guys seriously need to move out of the Valley...
Only then you'll all realize that in the rest of the country, English is "first" and the other languages are second... |

elchrist is right you are racist! JK. People got worked up to be sure, but "English as a second language" wasn't the cause. Again, I'll give JITB props for speaking his mind, but he (or she) wrote some pretty strong stuff. Did you read any of his posts? |

speaking about people not reading things throughly. In "English as a second language" I was merely referring to JITB's comment about how English had become a second language and not to the whole "ESL classes" that you guys are so familiar with. This whole post is about English coming in second to Spanish, even the title "Oprima uno para espanol (sorry find the "N" thing on this stupid apple computer)" states that English has taken a back seat for Spanish...
Now that JITB is a racist and that he should be hanged by his balls from the top of city hall, thats a different story!
I personally don't argue with people like that because you can't reason with them.
You wanna call me racist, go ahead... but don't say that I haven't read anything... |
