Oh, man. I had some gooooood tongue at Pampas the other week. Must be a new entry in the "meat parade."

I love that place, but I have not been there for a while. That they serve tongue is definitely news (good news) to me. You want to know something wierd? My favorite food at Pampas is the pasta that is ice cold even though it has a burner under it. Don't ask me why but that is half the reason I go.

Love the pho and eat it all the time up here, but I still can't gag down the nuc mam sauce.

So far I've tried the fresh spring rolls, chicken BBQ sandwich (banh mi), chicken soup (pho) and their Vietnamese espresso coffee.

The pho is real good.
The chicken BBQ sandwich is delicious.
The spring rolls are refreshing.
The Viet. espresso coffee is strong.

FYI: They're closed on Mondays.

How's it doing as far as business? Were there a lot of people there when you went? It would suck to see it close down by the next time I decide to go to the Valley.

I first went on the 2nd, which must have been the second day they were open, and I was surprised to find paying customers in there.

Either people were actually waiting for it or they put out an advertising campaign that I have yet to see one ad of.

I really hope it goes well for them. The family seems like a very good group of people. Resourceful as hell as well, as most Asians are, which you can tell from the "art" hanging on the wall.

Most importantly, the food has been good so far, although I've only had pho in the past at other Viet. joints.
