Yo, yo, check it.
The City has announced that all parking meters in downtown Calexico will not be enforced until 1/2/2008, so that means free parkin' 24/7 for the rest of the year.
Good luck finding a parking space though. I can never find one even when the meters are on watch. You might be able to score one if you try after midnight.
Can someone calculate how much the city will lose... err... not earn for giving away free parking? How many parking spaces are found in downtown? |

On a side note, i heard from my inside man at the PD, that the 2 hour parking rule is still in effect, so you can park for free for 2 hours, then you get a nice little yellow paper on your windshield.  |

Yep, everybody is just scurrying to get to los Chinos! Man, I love parking on First, Second, And Third Streets....Everything's at hand...
Why did they decide to do this?..never heard of anything like this happening!
