The Calexico Padrinos have unanimously voted to enter an exclusive 90-day agreement with Robinson Ford to sell their cars at the Calexico 10 Theaters property. Robinson Ford plans on retrofitting the existing theater to "include entertainment uses such as a restaurant, bar and bowling alley in addition to the car showroom."
Apparently there were three proposed plans to the city for the land use:
- Medical office building with urgent-care facility
- Mixed-used theater with retail spaces
- Robinson Ford
And the city choses Robinson Ford over a medical facility? The article states a panel of "key city staff" recommended the Robinson Ford idea. Who's part of this key city staff?
Even if this is/was the best choice for Calexico 10 Theaters, I highly doubt a bowling alley will ever open up. Sure, I can see bologna shop opening up... |

| Man, that's bull....making Calexico 10 into a showroom...I understand expanding a succesful business, but we don't need another or an extension of Robinson Ford...I say stick with keeping it a Theater or something else entertaining...but no more cars, damn it! |

Typical of the Calexico Council, doing buisness with Robinson Ford after they were raided by the FBI a few years back. And one the the Robinsons' being in federal lock up for smuggling dope. Maybe the Robinsons need more money to make sure that son keeps a steady supply of party dresses while in prison.  And that's no baloney! |

yeah they raided them back in 2002...it may have been late 2001 though...
After I heard that and something else about some employees messing with odometers making a used-new car look new-new...
