|
|
Last night I drove west through the road between the Dollar Tree and the old Peso Market building. Near the T-intersection (or is it Y-?) there's the running fountain with two benches and the western walled structure that reads "Welcome to Calexico."
I was driving slowing and I swear I saw two people sitting on the northern-ish bench from a distance. As at reached the stop sign I looked into my rear-view mirror and the benches were empty.
It kind of freaked me out a bit, but then I figured whomever was sitting there just decided to leave. Although I thought a couple sitting out here was a bit strange.
Maybe it's the lighting that caused some type of illusion. Or maybe not.
Is this fountain maybe haunted? |

I'm glad somebody mentioned ghosts or supernatural activity....I truely believe in ghosts and there's plenty of possible haunted sites in Calexico alone....When I was in highschool and had the video production class with Mr Chaney, I always wanted to record a Ghost special...and I finally did...with a buddy of mine...she did the reporting and I did the camera and half of the script...we did it within the highschool...stories of "La Mechuda"....I worked at Toys R Us for 3 and a half years..and plenty of weird things happened...nonne to me, that I could remember, but a few here and there to other co workers...and knowing them...they weren't messing around!
I know the old Heber School is not part of Calexico, but I went there a ton of times to see the young girl who was said to wander the school grounds...
I once heard about the "devil" appearing in the middle of the night by the railroad tracks by Garcia.
Let's see, what else, Mains was or IS supposedly haunted...
I gotta hear more about these Calexico Ghosts... |

| I think you may have something here. Calexico may have some erie history. I remember being at a funeral at Mountain View cemetary. Afterthat, I walked around the old section out of curiosity. I found a series of old tombstones where young children were buried. There were seveal of them buried in a year. I started to wonder what happend way back then, that so many children died. Then I thought about Steven King's "It", and got the hell out of there. |

Do you remember the year?
Maybe we can investigate what happened back then to cause these kids from dying so young and at almost the same time.
Bus crash, maybe? |

Sorry, don't remember the year, but it was in that very old, old section, where the grass don't grow. I was thinking it was some kind of flu or sickness that caused the deaths, but who knows? |

I don't have the videos...for some reason I didn't transfer any of that on to VHS like I used to to all my video production videos...damn it! We didn't catch any ghosts but we interviewed the custodians and they told us some creepy stories....La mechuda!
She was the ghost of Calexico High...There used to be some Trailer Southeast of Mr Gutierrez(work experiece) room and that's when one of the janitors(Senor Ramos who I actually know)reached the door to get out, he felt a presense and something extremely cold around him....after that he avoided that one room....the trailer was moved...this was even before my highschool years...
All the Janitors would avoid that one room and would actually take turns to be fair. |
