I'm sure everyone heard about the beat down some new gen-hippies received from the U.S. Border Patrol on Sunday here in Calexico. You probably already saw the (edited) videos whether out of interest for their cause or simply because you enjoy watching a good street rumble on film.
Yes, the bongo-playing dude was obviously provoking one BP by "dancing" towards him, but this is really no excuse for law enforcement to whack other people who appear to be running away while being shot with pepper-spray bullets.
Even some guy on a wheelchair seemed to have been physically harassed by BP agents. What's a guy on a wheelchair gonna do? Run over your steel-toes?
These BPs looked like rabid pit bulls ready to attack and I'm sure many were hoping that some anarchist would cross the line so they could open up a can of whoop ass. Well, it happened. But they were dumb enough to get caught on video doing it. You could see the nervous look on some of the agents near the end and yeah, that grinning BP looks like an asshole.
Oh well, I wasn't there, so I'm pretty sure these protesters are lying about getting their asses kicked for no justifiable reason. |
