Will Kobe be traded?
I think that's the only thing that anyone cares about in the NBA right now. |

The NBA season blows. This is pre-season basketball. Teams and players don't show up until after the All-Star break (Phoenix).
I expect the Big 3 out in Boston to play good, until one of them gets hurt.
As far as a basketball fan, I have become a free-agent fan. If Kobe moves to the Bulls, I'll become a Bulls fan. I hope he ends up in Phoenix. I would trade S.Marion, L.Barbosa, and a pick for Kobe.
The days of being a loyal fan are over, unless you have an owner who is willing to back up his team. |

I think there are a number of coaches that are dedicated to consistently putting a competitive team on the floor. Ever since Jerry Buss bought the Lakers franchise they have had teams that ranged from fun-to watch (Nickey V and the mid-90s team) to dominating (Kobe and Shaq) to legendary (SHOWTIME, BABY!!). Mark Cuban annoys the hell out of everyone outside of Dallas, but you have to admit the guy has done a beautiful job.
But you're right, verbal. If there are a number of coaches that run their NBA teams right, unless that number is 30 it's not enough. And they have certainly got to restructure the playoff system because some teams half-ass their way through 75% of the regular season (Spurs). Basketball has a legitimate chance to match soccer's global popularity, and the NBA should do a much better job at protecting the quality of its product. |
