You know, I was born in Calexico....a town I like to call Ghosttown.(not reffering to that side of town) We moved away in early-early 1993...it was a bummer...I became accustomed to Central California...which is great because there's great diversity and we were very close to the Sierra Nevada. When we came back to live in Calexico again in '99, hell, I wasn't happy...I would say that Calexico is not the place to be, or grow up...not that I hated it it's just the fact that I wanted to be somewhere else. Early summer of 2002, I moved to my best friends house, same town we moved to in '93...it was awesome and a lot of fun...we were getting ready to go to Long Beach in October(off to school) and as soon as we knew that we weren't ready to go, at least we were going to go through with our plans for Halloween....Early November of 2002, my grandma was in grave condition, so I came back...in those particular months of November and December, so much came to mind about Calexico, and I began to question everything about why I would be back here...When I was living with my best friend, I actually missed Calexico..I also missed the Churritos(AH MAN!) I actually began to really appreciate my little town. Everything about it...its Home feel, its easy access to everything...sure we don't have great big this and that, but hell, we're actually getting there...
So many great memories were the reasons why I began to appreciate it...everthing from my childhood in Calexico, to family, my childhood friends...I know it so well now...(I guess that's why I walk Calexico's streets late at night)
The feel to Calexico has never changed, I still call it HOME, though many people would probably prefer not to...I'll defend Calexico whenever somebody puts it down...

AMEN!!!!

We really need to find a local place to make t-shirts. Cafepress is too expensive for most and remember... we don't even markup the prices.
