I had heard a while ago that Carlos Slim Helú, a Mexican business man, was close to overtaking Bill Gates for the title of "Richest Man In The World". So this might be old news, but Carlitos recently passed Bill and his net worth is estimated at over 59 billion dollars. A recent report puts that number into perspective: A) Carlitos alone acounts for six percent of Mexico's GDP and B) last year he made $2,000,000 per hour! That's a lot of tacos.

Yeah, Carlos Slim passed Billy G. a couple months ago as the richest, but now there's an Indian who has supposedly passed him.
