After another year hiatus (it seems that I've only done these things on odd numbered years) I've decided to renew my NFL weekly picks column. Once again, I invite anyone who wants to add their picks to do so.

I'll start by giving my pick for tomorrow night's season opener. As always I will be using the Caliente line to make my picks. Home teams are in CAPS.

Saints (+6) vs. COLTS

I believe the Colts with Peyton Manning, Joseph Addai, Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison will win this game, but I think the Saints can make a game out of it with Drew Brees, Deuce McAllister and Reggie Bush and keep the score close.

Dude, you have to warn me when you will be releasing your picks.

When will we get the rest of them?

After starting the season 1-0 S/U Smile and 0-1 ATS Sad ...I hope to put in my picks tomorrow.

The Colts defense (despite losing four starters in the offseason) made the Saints' Drew Brees look like the Drew Brees the Chargers drafted in 2001. The Colts' last place run defense held Reggie Bush and Deuce McAllister to 38 yards rushing each. Bush better play better next week...he was my second round draft pick in my fantasy football draft!

Well here are the rest of my 2007 Week 1 picks:

Chiefs (+3) at TEXANS

Both teams start the season with backups starting at QB. Chiefs' QB Damon Huard filled in very well after Trent Green went down in the first week and the Chiefs did well enough to get a wild card berth last year. I don't think anyone believes the Chiefs can make the playoffs this year, but the Texans are even less likely to make the playoffs.

Broncos (-3.5) at BILLS

The Broncos started last season 7-2 before their late season collapse. I expect the Broncos to start strong again this season with the addition of RB Travis Henry (Who better have a good year for my fantasy team!). The Bills will struggle again this year.

Steelers (-4.5)* at BROWNS

I expect the Steelers to play better this year than last and the Browns to play about the same (which was bad).

JAGUARS (-6.5) vs. Titans

The Jaguars have a strong defense and running game. The Titans have Vince Young and...um...Vince Young.

RAMS (+1)* vs. Panthers

Both teams went 8-8 last year, but the Rams have more weapons on offense than do the Panthers. And the Rams are at home.

Eagles (-3) at PACKERS

The Eagles still have plenty of weapons on offense. The Packers still have Brett Favre, who looks more and more like Rex Grossman each year.

VIKINGS (-3) vs. Falcons

This will probably be the worst game ever. I'll take the home team by a field goal.

Dolphins (+3) at REDSKINS

Another bad game between bad teams. I'll take the Dolphins to win outright.

Patriots (-6)* at JETS

The Patriots are my Super Bowl pick my right now.

SEAHAWKS (-6) vs. Bucs

I expect Seahawks' QB Matt Hasselbeck and RB Shaun Alexander to rebound and have monster seasons this year.

Bears (+5.5) at CHARGERS

The Chargers had the best record in the NFL last year, but gave away their divisional playoff game to the Patriots. The Chargers fired Marty Schottenheimer for failing to win a playoff game, and hired Norv Turner for failing to win in the regular season. The Chargers should win this game, but Turner's decision making should keep it close.

OAKLAND (+1.5) vs. Lions

The two worst teams in the league last year face off for another lackluster game. I give Oakland the win because of their defense and the home field advantage.

COWBOYS (-5.5) vs. Giants

Dallas is a favorite to make the Super Bowl. QB Tony Romo should be much improved as will the defense now that Wade Phillips is in charge.

Ravens (+2.5) at BENGALS

The Ravens had the second best record in the NFL last year. The Bengals ended the season 8-8. I'll take the Ravens' defense to win a close one.

Cardinals (+3) at 49ERS

Even before the Cardinals had QB Matt Leinart and coaches Ken Wisenhunt and Russ Grimm they beat the Niners.

Here are my Week 3 picks:

Cardinals (+8 ) at RAVENS

The Cardinals covered in their first two games and I don't see Baltimore scoring enough to cover 8 points.

PATRIOTS (-16.5) vs. Bills

The Patriots beat their last two opponents by 24 points each and those two teams are stronger than the Bills have looked so far.

Lions (+6.5) at EAGLES

Lions QB Jon Kitna is overachieving but the Eagles secondary is very beatable, especially if Brian Dawkins doesn't play.

TEXANS (+6) vs. Colts

The Titans and the Texans were the last two teams to beat the Colts. The Colts barely covered against the Titans last week.

JETS (-3) vs. Dolphins

The Jets were few dropped passes from beating the Ravens last week. The Dolphins D is good, but not Ravens good.

CHIEFS (-3) vs. Vikings

The Vikings couldn't put the Lions away last week even though Lions QB J.T. O'Sullivan was trying to give them the win.

PACKERS (+5.5) vs. Chargers

Norv Turner is a team killer.

STEELERS (-9) vs. 49ers

It looks like the Steelers aren't willing to give into the "It's either the Colts or the Patriots this year" talk.

Rams (+4) at BUCCANEERS

Rams RB Stephen Jackson said he was going to break the total yards from scrimmage record this year. I thought he meant in positive yardage.

Bengals (+3.5) at SEAHAWKS

This one's a tough one to call. Take the over.

RAIDERS (-3.5) vs. Browns

Browns QB Derek Anderson is going to learn that the only defense he can throw 5 TDs against is the Bengals'.

Jaguars (+3.5) at BRONCOS

The Broncos have won two very close games. I think this week they will lose a very close one.

Panthers (-4) at FALCONS

The Falcons are now in "Leftwich needs to hurry up and learn our offense" mode now.

Giants (+4) at REDSKINS

I expect another close divisional game for the Redskins.

Cowboys (+3) at BEARS

This is my upset special. Defense wins championships (unless you're the Colts), but offense wins in the regular season.

Titans (+4.5) at SAINTS

The Saints might win but I expect Titan QB Vince Young to keep it close.

I changed my mind:

Colts (-6) at TEXANS

I forgot that Andre Johnson was going to be out for this game with a knee injury. Rolling Eyes
