| I just passed through the park today and saw that the monument for the veterans has a sign that says "under repair" how sad that it didn't even make it to the end of the year. The water is no longer running, broken pieces of granite, people stepping on the names... Pinchi Jente, se salen. |

| WTF? Look at what you have with Calexico...It should be on fire...Its time for all the posters on here who report all of this crap to step up and form your own political unit. Make a stand... let them tell your story on Dateline or CNN... Look it all the new houses... First thing the new leaders should do is make a brand new High School Campus. Turn the old High School into a Jr. High and two of the current jr. highs into elem. Start now before theres 10,000 more Calexicans.... A casino now? A water park makes more sense for the overall well being of the people of the region. Money or a healthy life? |

| Its time for young blood to enter the Calexico Political Realm. Retreads are good when you hit a slump, and they know what they are doing...do you keep them when all sorts of new stuff is about to happen? |
You should just send a letter to your congressman and call it a day. They have 3 days to respond. |

Yup, some people just don't know how to take care of things.
I can see the area w/o plaques a bit tempting for skating on, but I'm sure skaters have enough respect to not destroy a monument. At least they used to...
Who's responsible for the maintenance? The city or is it volunteer work (veterans)? |

If I wasn't a resident of Mission Beach San Diego I would send a letter. I just want my friends to get the maximum out of their city. |

I passed by the monument a few days ago and it looked pretty shiny. I didn't inspect it, but it looked alright.
Was it repaired? |
