Torneo de los Barrios (Mexicali) 2007 includes Calexico?

I was checking out La Voz today and saw the group standings for el Torneo de los Barrios 2007 and noticed there's a team named Calexico in Group 2.

Is there a colonia in Mexicali named Calexico or is this really a team from Calexico (the town)?

They've won both games in their group and have 6 points so they'll be advancing to the next round for sure.

I know my son who is part of the Chivas usa is going to play in the tournament. Those kids must be the older age group.

WTF was an anti-spanish speaking,reading, writing individual as yourself doing reading La Voz de la Frontera???

But yeah, Calexico has participated in the Torneo de los Barrios in the lower divisions since I can remember, but I can't recall them participating in the open category. El Valle Imperial has also participated since I can recall in the female category.
