http://friendsofrick.com/ I hope you guys check out his platform. Hes got great ideas and has great experince. I know he won't become corrupt. He could have done that at the federal level already. Hes a good guy, and I think his Valley home is in or near Calexico.

We support Rick Gonzales to represent
us in California's 80th Assembly District!

I know you don't agree with alot of the Calexio peoples mentioned above, but it was an easy choice to pick Rick. If you get to vote in 08 and are concerned about the Valley...this is your guy.

I understand why all of the people who are mentioned above would be for the proposed candidate for the assembly, except one. Danny Villanueva to me has done nothing to be a credible source for the Imperial Valley. The guy doesn’t live here, to my knowledge he has never given anything back to the valley. Heck he's never even given anything to his own high school. Why should we care what the guy is for or against???

He played for America's Team. That means everything.

I didn't know he co-founded Univision. Is that the truth?

We won't really know, unless we ask him. And if we ask him, he's gonna say he does.

So do we have any mind readers here on C.com?

Mind readers, how cute....

you know what I mean... he gave a huge grant to his collegiate alma mater in NM. Why hasn't he done the same in IV?

Usually rich people tend to show they care when they give money to the community (at least for tax credit or something)... has the guy done anything like that??

He was born in Tucumcari, New Mexico, although he did graduate from CHS. He's got to have done something for Calexico/IV in the way of football scholarships.

From the looks of it i think at most he spent his high school years in CLX, since he did his JC at a school near Fresno and then moved to NM State. But that’s what bothers me, why is it that most of the peps in CLX do not know about this guy... Heck they should have named the football field after him!

I think he should donate a couple of million to the School District and have the district name a new High School after him... maybe the district could place it near Heber so that Heber would annex with CLX...

I can almost bet that the worst years of school that the guy had where at CHS. That’s probably why he never looked back!!!
