Ever since Napster went down, I haven't been really sure where to download free music from anymore.
Places like MP3.com have some good bands, but most of it sucks.
Anyone have any sites to download from? What about a program recommendation? |

For legitimate music sites I recommend:
- http://epitonic.com/
- http://emusic.com/ (Not free, but cheap enough)
As for music/file sharing programs I recommend:
- http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/
- http://www.kazaalite.com/
- http://www.slsk.org/ (Similar to WinMX)
Although in my opinion, nothing beats an FTP site without ratios (or low ratios). I hear IRC is da bomb, but I haven't downloaded much myself from that service, plus I'm afraid of engaging in any confrontations such as the one between ElWusso and revramrod. |
