A plumber thats worked out at Rosa's Plane food speaking under anonimity. Personally, told me that the infestation that they have down there w/ all types of insects mainly "cuka-rachas" is something to behold. He said that he wouldn't personally eat over there. Granted, they've passed all of their health department inspections and watever else that they're required to pass. But the fact that they're located right above the run/drainage,sewer from U.S. and Mex. Makes for a cocktail of "cuka-asada". And its not an isolated incident every store in that vicinity from there to anything around Twin City is affected and he said its real, real bad. So the next time chomping into you're $8.00 dollar burger. Make sure its well done, along with all the rest of the "protein" on your plate......On top of that I've tasted their beans and I don't think they're Rosa's I think they're "Rosarita's"..... |

I've heard similar stories. When I used to work for the City of Calexico, I heard something that some of the city's big shots all got together and took one of our congressmen (or congresswoman?) out to lunch to Rosa's. He ordered a plate of shrimp and we he got it, there was a cooked cockroach right on top of the otherwise tasty-looking shrimp.
All I heard was that our big shots looked pretty bad, and they never mentioned it to anybody again. |

| In Rosa's defense, I've eaten there plenty of times and haven't come across anything like the previous postings. I recommend their 7 Mares seafood soup on fridays. |

I've eaten their too. And haven't seen anything like that. But their service guys are the ones levying those allegations. And these guys aren't exagerating or they aren't liars. They just said that it grosssed them out. And to hear them say that is pretty eye-opening since they do come in to contact w/ some pretty ugly situations. Any way I'm not going to eat there just out of personal preference. And I don't want to sway anybody away from eating there. I just wanted to say what "the word around the campfire" was in regards to Rosa's. Even though I don't recomend the "rosarito" beans..... |

| All it takes is one anonymous phone call to the Imperial County Health Department to report these conditions. Been there and done that when I found tiny worms in my Church's Chicken. |
