Congratulations.

His #1 priority is to hire a new Boys Varsity Basketball coach.
Not tomorrow, but today.

Given the available talent, we'd like to see cole have a winning season. Give the coach another try.

Mr. Apodaca has had approximately 100 days to find a new Boys Varsity Head Basketball Coach and he has hired the man hired and rehired by the last three bulldog AD’s.

Actions are louder than words.

Word is A.Silva will coach the Varsity Boys Basketball team.
If so, the A.D. has not learned from last year debacle. It is clear that one man cannot coach back-to-back sports. It's unfair to the players, program, and the man/woman who takes such responsibility.

This speaks volume of the job the A.D. is doing.

I would have to imagine the AD is a reasonably intelligent man. I don't know Apodaca, but he has got to see the problems with that decision. Is it possible that no other qualified individual was willing to take the job?

I think coach Silva will probably do a better job than Guzman. Is he a better coach? We'll see. For sure they'll win more than 3 games than last year, and last year they only won 3 games out of a 27 game season! This years plyaers are good players, but to keep changing coaches is really a disservice to the school, players, and the community. But know this, the principal, for sure, has a hand in selecting coaches, the micro-manager! pun intended. Have fun boys, gotta clean out the barn.

Well, then the blame can be distributed accordingly. The AD will always be a subordinate of the Principal, but this AD has to do a better job. Two years running and no basketball coach is pretty pathetic. Though, I agree that Coach Silva will be better than Coach Guzman in basketball.

Tryouts are Friday or Saturday after the last football game (open to the public), should be intresting, Silva might have half his football staff there to help him out in selecting the best players. Last year the baseball coach screwed it up, hope Alfie can patch things up. The players this year are quick and fast, with reasonable height and talent, but can they make freethrows and clamp down on defense when it counts? (with the game on the line) Can't wait to check them out. Alfie was a helluva player in his prime, but that does not equal a league championship or a winning season, but it's worth a try. Before Guman was coach Moreno, and he had a real lousy year his last year going 4-21 even though the team had Mauricio Lucero a terrific all-IVLplayer. See y'all at the games PURO Calecia!
