Pardon my ignorance.....but what are the Palm-like towers that are all around the county? for instance, there is one at the intersection of Hwy 98 and Cole Rd
they look nice, though. |

| They are nuclear weapons sylos. Each one packs 5 "Davy Crockett" class warheads all aimed at mexicali. Hah...cellphone towers....dont beleive everything you hear. lol. |

These faux palms definitely look better than metal structures. I wonder though if any birds who may have nests on them will be susceptible to cancer. Any studies on this?
There are also faux cactus antennas. |

They are actually Nextel antennas. Nextel is trying to boost their signal close to the border, so that Calexican's wont roam so much. They've installed a couple of those, one near me is on Hwy98 and Ferrell Rd. I rolled up one day and asked the crew while they were putting the place together. I was curious, I also thought they were for the Dept. of Homeland Sec.
What I really cant wait for is EVDO from Sprint. As a matter of fact, over the past few months, my phone has been flashing the EVDO icon every once in a while, maybe it's comming sooner than I thought. We'll have to wait and see. |
