This is still a work in progress since I'm not super familiar with WordPress, but I thought that people that are into myspace and facebook might think this would be a good idea.
You just go to the site and signup for a free account and you can get a blog for free.
It has potential, but getting the word out about [url=http://borderswap.com]borderswap[url] is at the top of my list at the moment but I wanted to have some other people check it out and let me know what they think.
The plan is for the home page to show what the newest blogs, posts and other stuff. If a lot of people got blogs and began blogging about their lives, dumb stuff, news, or whatever that frontpage would then become a pretty interesting place to check out. |

Yup, that's the only way to roll with these subdomain blogs .
Have you gotten to mess around with it before? |

Nope. I heard it's hard to mess around with it, but then again I heard that from a noob, not that I'm very experienced myself.
Hopefully someone starts an interesting blog, that points out many flaws and corruption that Calexico has. I would but I just moved, so it'd be pointless. =P |

It seems alright at the moment, the only things I noticed, which was both interesting and disappointing was the fact that all of the accounts are virtual. Everything uses the same files, but each account has its own set of database tables which allows them to configure what they want to use from whats available to everyone (such as themes and plugins that I've set to be usable by everyone). This should be fine for most people hopefully .
And you actually gave me a pretty good idea for a plugin suggestion: allow people to modify the CSS and templates from each account's backend (I don't think there is an option to do this at the moment, I think the only way is to modify the files you want via FTP).
Your friend must not have been that much of a noob to have heard about it , I barely learned that it existed a few weeks ago.
At the moment it's free to mess around with and I'll just start working on bit by bit. |
