No, the City of Calexico has their own festivities for the Fourth of July, but it's held on the Third of July.
A few years back there were no fireworks on display because of financial woes or something. The past few years the fireworks in Calexico have kicked butt though. |

The last time the city didn't have fireworks was due to the company they ordered them from not bringing them on time. |

And how do you not bring the fireworks on time? You have like all year to prepare, although it might have been the July 3rd date that threw them off? |
