i'm watching Lean On Me right now on HBO, and i was thinking to myself, "Did i ever have a teacher, that put everything ahead of himself/herself just to make sure the students got ahead?" the only one i could think of was Mrs. Logue. she was a teacher that really took pleasure in seeing her students excel. she wouldn't make her class easier for one kid, but she would spen more time with that kid,so that kid would succeed. anyone have a teacher like that?

For me it had to be Mr. Homewood, my 5th grade teacher at Mains Elementary School. He was a laid back man in his 50s or 60s who didn't seem to care much for the rules. He was strict and although we did a lot of shit behind his back I always knew that he knew what we were doing. He also didn't care much for sports, but Mr. Obeso always seemed to challenge the class to games so we'd have to go outside and fight against all the jocks in his class.

I had a lot of memorable moments there and it was total desmadre. The following year he died of who knows what, even though he ate his daily raw potato. It must've been lung cancer 'cause I caught him smoking outside while the whole class stayed afterschool for detention. I asked him if he smoked when I busted him and he said, "No. I smoke cigarettes." Cigarettes

This man did a great job of teaching and anyone who was in this class I'm sure can vouch for him.

Another thing was that he once said that he family was in the Guiness book of world records because everyone in was born on the same date, but seperate years. I never found any proof on this.

Someone might say that this is obvious but I have to say that Mr. Orduna was the best teacher I had in high school. I had him for a total of four classes in three years and I learned alot in his classes. Everybody acted like an asshole in his classes and gave him a hard time but he kept on going. I actually went back a few years ago and told him that I thought he was the best teacher I had and he really appreciated it.

It isn't a wooden leg. It is this metal frame and that has this mechanism that allows the leg to bend.

I've actually seen him fall. Twice. It was quite sad.

The answer to that my friend is none of your business. It falls under the confidential Teacher/Student relationship and I'll never implicate Mr. Orduna.
