Where will Mexico end up?
Currently, Mexico is beating Ghana 1-0 on an outstanding goal by G. Dos Santos. |

3-0 final score.
Can't wait for dos Santos and Vela to join the adults.
If Hugo fails, then Jesus Ramirez should be considered for DT. |

To start the second half Mexico was getting worked by Gambia. Mexico had no control of the ball for the first 10-15 minutes then J.Ramirez made a substitution. Within 5 minutes of that substitution G.Dos Santos scored and Mexico dominated after that. Granted the goal made was more to an outstanding play, but J.Ramirez saw his team struggle and made a quick adjustment.
Wonder if he can have the same success with the 'europeos'. It's like college rank coaches trying to make the leap to the pros. |

Great victory by Mexico, considering that they didn't have enought time to prepare for this tournament (Dos Santos and Vela along with the ones that already play in Primera Division came in late) they looked pretty good. African teams are always complicated to beat because of their speed and strength. With each game the Mexxies should be improving, next game vs Portugal should be a real test.
USA just finished giving Poland the beating of their life. For those of you ADU doubters, take that punks! Freddie Adu showed that he's a real soccer player and that he's ready to go up with the big boys as soon as the under 20 WC is over. USA will do battle with Brazil next, which got beat by Poland. Brazil is playing South Korea right now and it's still 0-0, so we'll have to wait till after that game is over to come up with conclusions as to what Brazil's got. Brazil's loss to Poland might of not been a fluke. |

Another great win by Mexico and against a quality opponent. Now this is great soccer to watch. Mexico has proved that it doesn't only rely on Dos Santos and Vela to score, although you can't deny that the team wouldn't be shit without them.
USA just beat Brazil 2-1 a few minutes ago and ADU once again proved how great he is. He caused the first goal by taking the ball away from the defense and passing it to Altidore, and on the second goal he did an amazing play and again passed it to Altidore. Damn that by Adu was awsome.
This Sunday will be great, at 12p.m. Mexico vs Paraguay (copa america) and at 2p.m. Mexico vs New Zealand (sub 20). Although they will bench the good guys since we're already qualified and playing against the weakest team in the group. |

I miss the Portugal game, but I heard they played pretty money.
La generacion de oro...
I caught most of the US game, and Adu has shown me something. Even for his small stature he can kick the ball pretty good of free kicks. He has the skill to bring down the ball, and he can embarrass two defenders in the corner. That was a beautiful play that he made, but his kick left one to desire for more.
If he continues to play up top, he will have a hard time when playing the big boys, but in open space he can has the skill to roam around. |
