6-0 was epic. Hugo is now showing what he can do with the Seleccion.

Tomorrow against Argentina will have a great atmosphere. Argentina is the hands on favorite. Copa America favorite. Everyone's favorite since they brought all their stars. Still, Mexico has a shot with or without Nery since Mexico has only allowed one goal.

In this tourny Mexico scored 11 times and allowed 1.

I'm going to be in SD in the afternoon. Anyone know of a good bar/restaurant to watch the game at?

I was thinking about that British pub on India St. in Mission Hills.

There's always Seau's, McGregor's, The Field, Throphies, but haven't been to Shakespeare's. Your best bet is to call someone who lives up there or call places to see if they are going to show the game.

Or you can take realneo and go to Hooters.

I was looking for a good emoticon but found none that could resemble a blown tire.

The loss was definitely a disappointment because who doesn't want to beat Argentina. Argentina dominated the game even though Mexico lost some key opportunities at goal. All in all this tournament was a good step in the right direction.

One play can cost a team its composure and the victory. Thus, it's time for M.Ochoa to start at goalie.

O.Bravo and A.Medina may play great in Mexico, but are wasted players on the Seleccion.

The time to bring up the sub-20 is now.

I sure hope the Args aren't now the nation in S. America that constantly own Mexico just like USA is the nation in N. America.

Decent performance by MEX, but I agree with verbal that Oswaldo needs to go and Memo needs to be their full-time keeper. Cacho might want to be reconsidered as a starter and someone please tell Nery que no se pique.

Dos Santos will be the key addition to El Tri. Screw it, Nery and Giovanni might not be 100% Mexican, but this ain't Chivas. F. Adu isn't exactly an American either, but I don't see no one complaining about him being their star player.

Oh, Messi is the shit.

C.Blanco last game with the Seleccion.

Thanks for the memories, too bad the last DT excluded you from the World Cup.

A final against Brasil would have been legendary, but a 3rd place finish is a damn good consolation prize. Copo Oro and the 3-4 european stars leaving feel like such a long time ago.

Mexico beat Brasil who some call a pathetic B team, but just slapped the power house and Copa America favorite Argentina.

Mexico beat Ecuador to secure a Quarterfinals spot.

Mexico tied in a Chile in one of the most boring games of all-time, but gave quality minutes of rest time to Mexico’s starters.

Mexico first in its group.

Mexico beat Paraguay who 32 days earlier had beaten the Seleccion at the Azteca. The prognosticators gave no love to Mexico.

Mexico loses to Argentina. Terrible play by the goalie and some horrendous halftime substitutions and Mexico’s hopes and dreams were crushed.

Mexico beat Uruguay who had taken Brasil to penalties a few days back and this is without Mexico’s best player in R.Marquez. The lineup: M.Ochoa, J.Castro, J.Magallon, F.Pinto, Maza, J.Lozano, R.Morales, G.Torrado, C.Blanco, O.Bravo, and N.Castillo.

Mexico finishes 4-1-1 and as the 3rd best team behind Brasil and Argentina.

By the way did anyone else see C.Blanco take the ball away from N.Castillo right before the penalty kick? Good stuff.
