I remember when I was a little kid, we used to buy the most deadly fire works we could buy here in the U.S., then, we would go to Mex and buy the most deadly fire works we could find in Mex.

I was kind of young so I used to only play with those little t.n.t. fireworks (the ones that were tied together). Occasionally I would try a megaton.

I used to have a blast watching my brothers try to kill eachother by shooting and throwing megatones and those balls of flame from a can at eachother.

We don't have anything like that anymore. We stopped having those as soon as I got old enough to play with them. It makes me so sad.

My favorite fireworks had to be those balls of flame. I used to trip out on the way they used to burn my brother's hair.

No, you're thinking of the right person.

Actually, it blew up about a foot or two from my right ear. I have tinnitus in both ears because of it. Obviously, it's worse in my right ear.

Permanent tinnitus has been known to cause insanity in some people, you know.

Fireworks rule.

Back in the day chicali ruled because every abarrotes had some sort of fireworks.

Varitas, palomitas, megatones, smoke bombs, you name it.

Back in the states fireworks were illegal, but that didn't stop many of those who frequent this board.

Once, we almost burned the field down where Willie now stands by using luces the bengala.

Then a single palomita on a windy day burned two lawns down. That was pretty scary. Still, I haven't seen grass grow any greener then after that day.

Ah the rush of trying to light one of those small 'boom' fireworks and then throwing them only about two feet in front of your face before they go boom.

Life was so simple back then...

Of all people. For several years now, you've known that I'm really Napoleon Bonaparte.
