I'm pretty sure some of you know by now that you can now comment on some,if not all, stories posted on the ivpressonline.com web site. I think it's pretty cool to be able to do that. Haven't posted anything myself (nothing has caught my attention yet).
I also wanted to mention the poll that they have right now:

What do you think of Calexico trying to halt the lining of the All-American Canal on behalf of a Mexicali group?

Calexico should just secede from the Valley and join Mexicali (167 Votes, 53%)

City should stick to fighting its own battles (47 Votes, 15%)

The project needs to get accomplished now (65 Votes, 21%)

Viva Calecia! (38 Votes, 12%)

It is so sad to see the majority of these voters think Calexico should be part of mexicali.
oh, I am pretty sure that the 38 votes on the last option are from members from this site! Viva Calecia...que'es eso?

Missy,

We are now "Mexicali Norte"- a bedroom barrio of Mexicali. Without Chicalons we would be the size of Holtville and our new rival would be Calipat. Thank God for Nextel.....

Such hatred towards Calexico...

I have no problem with Calexico officially becoming a colonia in Mexicali as long was they also relocate the fence just south of the I-8 and keep Imperial Valley out. Andi putos. Maybe we can pull a Vatican City?

And what's up with the IVP lately? It's like Mad Magazine over there. Are they trying to be "hip?"

What, me worry?

El Christ, You are very correct... They don't like Calecia because we are Mexicans.

I don't think many dislike Calexico because we're Mexican. El Centro also has a high percentage of Mexicans/Latinos, but no where near the 99.99999999999999999999% that Calexico is. I think they "hate" Calexico because it's right next to the border and it feels dirty to them.

Check out the latest poll results:

Calexico should just secede from the Valley and join Mexicali
(415 Votes, 52%)
City should stick to fighting its own battles
(137 Votes, 17%)
The project needs to get accomplished now
(127 Votes, 16%)
Viva Calecia!
(126 Votes, 16%)

52% believe Calexico should move even further south. I'd like to believe that voters are just being mamones, but I'm sure 50% of those 52% are Yahoo Serious. 50%. That would be 207 people and one little person.

Let's see how high we can boost the "Viva Calecia!" vote. Make sure to tell everyone you know to vote "Viva Calecia!" on the IV Press Web site.

When the numbers start changing, I'm sure the paper will pull the pole... err... poll.

They pulled it around Friday afternoon and replaced it with another Calexico poll. Viva Calecia! was in 3rd.

The polls are on the IVP homepage.

I was reading some of the post at iv press today, if somebody over there at the press gets a little creative, the press could really build up a good web-site. People are eager to comment on some, if not all, of the stories that they publicate. Have any of you posted anything there?
Is it bad Evil or Very Mad Karma Twisted Evil to mention the ivpress here?

I've seen the "thegarz" on there.

I thought you could only find so much hate on C.com, but apparently a lot of IVP's readers are the same way. Lots of negatIVity.

On C.com, you always receive good karma.
