That was a damn good boxing card. All the fights were good.

I take it you didn't see the first fight. Horrible. Just terrible. Even the decision was bad, but that all changed.

The other fights were just awesome.

Cotto showed me something that night. Even though with all that controversy and getting rocked he still fought through it. He showed a strong will. Though, someone needs to tell him to keep his hands up. If you don't knock out Cotto in the first 4 rounds, you're looking at a lot of hurt. Great fight.

Chavez Jr is either that good or he just keeps fighting mechanics. It's time for him to show his true skills against a quality opponent. Still nice to see him dominate a figher. Great body blow, it reminds me of...

Stay tuned Castillo-Hatton should be good one too, then Margarito-Williams, yup, its what boxing needs.

Hell yeah. Castillo-Hatton should be another great fight.

Castillo says he'll KO Hatton. Hatton says losing not an option. Is this another toe to toe war in the making for saturday night? HBO Sat 7pm, tune in.

"I'm looking forward to fighting Castillo," said Hatton. "That's on me mind now. Styles make fights in the boxing game and this will be a good one because of our styles. You like a chess match, watch De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather. You like fighters who come to fight and will knock the (explative) out each other, then you watch us two."

Castillo is another story entirely, at least from a climate standpoint. He turned pro as a 16-year-old boy and his early fights took place against grown men in the dusty rings that dot the Mexican countryside. Castillo is used to hot, weather having been born in Mexicali, Mexico, and as HBO's unofficial fight judge Harold Lederman once said of the oppressive heat in Mexicali, "That's where the devil goes on vacation."

i think the devil hangs out at the cantinas in the centro (el tango) by where la taverna and all the other drink joints are at. If your luck, you might just run into him without knowing, he usually is dressed in disguise. uuuuhhhh, spooky downtown Chicali.

damn, Castillo's is purse is being withheld. 1.2 mil to be paid to Gary Shaw/Corrales for not making weight in those fights. Castillo will make $0. Another black eye for boxing.

That's gonna suck, since from what I've read he's already broke.

Hatton is supposedly getting 12 times Castillo's purse.
